About the Role

Right at Home is seeking experienced LPN/RN/RPN nurses to provide 1:1 client care in Markham & Scarborough, Ontario. We offer a full range of support and care services for individuals with physical, medical, or memory impairments, ensuring professional and relationship-oriented support when clients need it most.

Responsibilities

  • Perform safe and effective medication administration, including injections and insulin administration.
  • Manage IV therapies, including peripheral IV care and pump management.
  • Provide comprehensive central line and access device care.
  • Deliver skilled wound care, including general wound management and negative pressure wound therapy.
  • Perform suture and staple removal.
  • Manage enteral feeding therapies, including pump operation.
  • Provide care for respiratory and airway devices.
  • Manage chest drainage systems.
  • Perform care and maintenance of surgical drains.
  • Provide ostomy care, including patient education and appliance changes.
  • Manage urinary and peritoneal devices.
  • Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and report concerns promptly.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on device management, medication administration, and ongoing care needs.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation.
  • Adhere to infection prevention, safety protocols, and professional practice standards.

Requirements

  • Must live in Canada.
  • Must live locally to the job opportunity.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • CPR Certification/First Aid Training required.
  • 2-step TB test required.
  • VSS/Criminal Record Check required.
  • Nursing license and registered in good standing with the CNO required.
  • All nurses are to wear a mask while with a client.
  • All nurses are to be up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations and provide proof of vaccination.
