About the Role
Right at Home is seeking experienced LPN/RN/RPN nurses to provide 1:1 client care in Markham & Scarborough, Ontario. We offer a full range of support and care services for individuals with physical, medical, or memory impairments, ensuring professional and relationship-oriented support when clients need it most.
Responsibilities
- Perform safe and effective medication administration, including injections and insulin administration.
- Manage IV therapies, including peripheral IV care and pump management.
- Provide comprehensive central line and access device care.
- Deliver skilled wound care, including general wound management and negative pressure wound therapy.
- Perform suture and staple removal.
- Manage enteral feeding therapies, including pump operation.
- Provide care for respiratory and airway devices.
- Manage chest drainage systems.
- Perform care and maintenance of surgical drains.
- Provide ostomy care, including patient education and appliance changes.
- Manage urinary and peritoneal devices.
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and report concerns promptly.
- Educate patients and caregivers on device management, medication administration, and ongoing care needs.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation.
- Adhere to infection prevention, safety protocols, and professional practice standards.
Requirements
- Must live in Canada.
- Must live locally to the job opportunity.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- CPR Certification/First Aid Training required.
- 2-step TB test required.
- VSS/Criminal Record Check required.
- Nursing license and registered in good standing with the CNO required.
- All nurses are to wear a mask while with a client.
- All nurses are to be up to date on COVID-19 vaccinations and provide proof of vaccination.
