About the Role
We are seeking individuals who care deeply about our mission to make humanity more free by delivering massive amounts of compute infrastructure for AI faster than anyone else. This role is crucial in rethinking every layer of the stack, from acquiring power to operating data centers, with a focus on speed and scale.
Responsibilities
- Own the bill of materials (BOM) for the modular data center product, including every part, quantity, and revision across structural, mechanical, and electrical scopes.
- Drive engineering changes through the BOM to ensure timely updates in purchasing and manufacturing.
- Reconcile the engineering BOM against vendor quotes, purchase orders, and received material, addressing all discrepancies.
- Identify and flag long-lead and single-source items to supply chain proactively.
- Establish part numbering, revision control, and change management processes for the modular program from prototype to fleet production.
Requirements
- Proven experience owning a multi-thousand-line BOM through significant engineering changes while maintaining accuracy.
- Experience running formal change control processes (ECOs, ECNs) and ensuring closure.
- Demonstrated ability to reconcile BOMs against POs and received materials, tracing all mismatches.
- Experience acting as a liaison between design engineers and buyers, translating drawings into orderable part numbers.
- Experience administering a BOM system (PLM, ERP, or scaled spreadsheets) without revision conflicts.
- Experience supporting manufacturing or field builds where BOM errors caused work stoppages, and implementing preventative measures.
