About the Role
VIZ Media is seeking a temporary Publishing Production Assistant to support the Publishing Production team with day-to-day operations for print publishing, including manga, illustrated books, art books, and novels.
Responsibilities
- Receive, ship, and log print production materials from and to printers and vendors
- Sort proofs, print samples, and advance copies for internal staff delivery
- Update production status on trackers and related documentation
- Review print samples and verify printing quality
- Perform administrative duties including data entry, copying, packing, and shipping
Requirements
- Must be local to the San Francisco Bay Area and able to commute to the office
- Available to work at least 4 days per week between 9:30am and 4:00pm
- Ability to pay strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Willingness to work with content including sexually explicit images, nudity, and graphic violence
