About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, driven, and customer-focused Main Line Service Advisor to join our Ford Service Department. This position is responsible for greeting customers, accurately documenting concerns, and managing the customer's repair experience from write-up through delivery, ensuring strong communication and high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Review appointments before the next day
- Greet customers promptly and professionally
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle symptoms
- Perform a complete service walk-around and review vehicle history
- Determine and recommend maintenance based on age/mileage/condition and history of prior service history
- Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts
- Obtain customer authorization throughout the repair process
- Review technician video inspections and communicate recommended repairs to customers
- Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently
- Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order
- Explain all completed work and charges to customers
- Follow up with customer after service completed for customer satisfaction survey
- Meet dealership goals for sales, customer satisfaction and repair-order performance
- Maintain an organized work area and comply with dealership and Ford processes
Requirements
- Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus
- Ability to identify the problem quickly
- Knowledge of automobiles
- Proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
- Past experience as a service advisor or service consultant
- Very energetic personality
- A desire for a long-term career with a growing organization
- Personal and professional integrity
- Computer skills and willingness to learn new programs
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- Minimum of 1 year in service department
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
