About the Role

This position is responsible for managing multiple assignments concurrently, including client relationship management, supervision, planning, completion, billing, and collections. The Senior Manager also oversees staff development and coaching, contributes to firm growth through business development, and provides leadership to ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of property damage claims, complex business interruption claims, extra expense claims, and other insurance and litigation support analysis.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of insurance policies and issues, with the ability to explain them clearly.
  • Collaborate with peers on current firm and industry issues.
  • Supervise the analysis and schedule preparation for Managers, Senior Accountants, Staff Accountants, and Interns.
  • Serve as an expert witness for litigation matters.
  • Monitor Work in Progress (WIP) to determine appropriate billing times and issue bills.
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable (A/R) and follow up on collections.
  • Assist with the recruiting of professionals for the firm.
  • Act as a key contact for all technical and non-technical issues.
  • Delegate responsibilities to Managers, Senior Accountants, Staff Accountants, and Interns for timely assignment completion while retaining primary client satisfaction responsibility.
  • Assign teams to handle various claim tasks.
  • Review schedules, reports, and correspondence to ensure they meet firm quality standards.
  • Communicate with the investigative team to ensure information sharing and deadline management.
  • Work on simultaneous claims and successfully manage larger loss assignments.
  • Consistently provide quality work product.
  • Consistently meet established deadlines, ensuring adequate review time.
  • Provide timely, consistent coaching and feedback to staff, assisting in their career development.
  • Follow Meaden & Moore's administrative practices, including time entry, expense reporting, and performance reviews.
  • Communicate with the appropriate Vice President regarding assignment status and problem resolution.
  • Proactively participate in billing, collections, and practice management/development matters.
  • Maintain the confidential and proprietary nature of documentation and information.
  • Project a professional image as a firm representative and staff role model.
  • Utilize skill and judgment to resolve issues to the satisfaction of clients and the firm.
  • Comply with continuing professional education requirements.
  • Seek opportunities to expand professional networks, identify new prospects, and generate business.
  • Actively participate in professional industry organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience.
  • Thorough understanding of complex business interruption claims, extra expense claims, property damage claims, and employee dishonesty claims.
  • Comprehensive understanding of insurance policy terms and concepts.
  • Interest and ability to serve the needs of all clients (internal and external).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively lead and manage Managers, Senior Accountants, Staff Accountants, and Interns.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated aptitude in building relationships and leadership.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in business development.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in project management.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative research and analysis.

Salary/Compensations

  • Base compensation typically ranges between $140,000 and $220,000
