About the Role
Capital One is seeking passionate Software Engineers to join their Machine Learning Experience Team (MLX Tech). This team pioneers and implements AI/ML solutions at scale, building platforms that enable rapid and responsible development and deployment of AI/ML. MLX Tech harnesses Generative AI to assist customers, driven by a collaborative and interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
- Create solutions to meet regulatory needs.
- Share passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with new technologies, and participating in technology communities.
- Mentor other members of the engineering community.
- Code or evaluate code as needed.
- Collaborate with digital product managers.
- Deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences.
- Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go.
- Work with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
- Utilize Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Leverage a variety of AWS tools and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 6 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
- At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Master's Degree
- 9+ years of experience in at least one of the following: Python, Golang, or Node.js
- 4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
- 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks
- 2+ years of experience in Kubernetes: hands-on deploying and managing large-scale apps on Kubernetes
- 1+ years of people management experience
- 2+ years of experience with Amazon SageMaker, Databricks, or another comprehensive ML platform
- Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity, utilizing capabilities beyond basic code completion
