About the Role
This role actively shapes how People & Places leaders and business partners access the insights they need to make thoughtful, data-informed decisions. You will lead the development of user-centered analytics products that simplify complex people data, improve self-service access to insights, and create meaningful change across the employee experience. This role brings together product strategy, data science, and cross-functional partnership to deliver practical, trusted tools for leaders across Expedia Group.
Responsibilities
- Realize the AI transformation of generation, discovery, and delivery of people analytics products that help business leaders and human resources partners access timely, actionable insights.
- Design, build, and improve self-service analytics products using data from multiple sources, with a focus on simple user experiences, clear visual storytelling, and measurable business impact.
- Partner closely with analytics, data engineering, and machine learning teams to translate business needs into product requirements, prototypes, production solutions, and ongoing enhancements.
- Measure adoption, engagement, and product effectiveness, using feedback, testing, and experimentation to refine features and improve outcomes over time.
- Productionize machine learning models and automate recurring analytics workflows and strengthen product reliability through documentation, testing, monitoring, and sound development practices.
- Share product best practices across the People Analytics team through demos, enablement materials, and knowledge exchange sessions that raise the bar on product thinking and user-centered design.
Requirements
- 6+ years experience in data science or analytics product roles, or a related field, with a strong track record of taking products from discovery and prototyping through launch, adoption, and iteration.
- Proficient in SQL, R or Python, Tableau, and Claude Code or Codex.
- Comfortable working with large, complex datasets in modern analytics environments, with a preference for experience in Workday, Qualtrics, Trino, and Databricks.
- Experience turning machine learning models and AI capabilities into usable products by partnering effectively with data engineering and machine learning teams.
- Apply product thinking, usability principles, and structured problem framing to create intuitive experiences that reduce manual effort and support better business decisions.
- Strong judgment in data governance, privacy, and responsible artificial intelligence practices, including secure access, appropriate aggregation, and clear documentation.

- Seattle: $173,000.00 - $242,500.00 (potential to $277,000.00)
- New York: $187,000.00 - $261,500.00 (potential to $299,000.00)
