About the Role
MHA in Ulster seeks a part-time Youth Respite Worker to provide temporary and specialized care for youth experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. The role involves engaging children in structured activities and providing care in the community in the absence of a primary caregiver.
Responsibilities
- Care for the identified child in the community in the absence of the primary caregiver.
- Maintain the normal routine as outlined by the primary caregiver.
- Attend scheduled Respite meetings.
- Maintain other documentation, reports, records, or summaries as required.
- Document contacts in a progress note.
Requirements
- Must possess a clean, valid NYS driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.
