About the Role
The Bilingual Client Support Specialist serves as the first point of contact for clients seeking information and assistance with enrolling in affordable health insurance. This is a temporary, seasonal, grant-funded position with paid training.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site client assistance and support by phone and in person
- Answer client questions, share information, and schedule appointments
- Participate in phone banking campaign to previous clients
- Help determine client eligibility for Marketplace plans and financial assistance
- Enter client information accurately in the REDCap database
- Utilize RingCentral phone system to manage program incoming calls
- Serve multilingual clients using the language line
- Complete all specified paid trainings and Centers for Medicaid & Medicare Services (CMS) Certified Application Counselor (CAC) certification
- Protect client confidentiality and PII/PHI in compliance with HIPAA policies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required
- Ability to provide superior customer service by phone to clients with diverse identities and needs
- Ability to engage with under-served and under-represented populations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to be flexible, learn quickly, and multi-task
