About the Role

Arcadis is seeking experienced Data Center Design Project Managers to join their American Places group to manage the design process for hyperscale data centers across the United States. This role involves client collaboration, project planning, and oversight from campus planning through construction drawing issuance.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate client requirements for the design of hyperscale data centers throughout the United States.
  • Manage the design process from campus planning/basis of the design stage through issuance of construction drawings.
  • Create a shared plan for design execution and oversee construction administration services provided by external design teams.
  • Coordinate procurement, issue, and administer change orders related to design and project scope.
  • Issue engineering information to related vendors and suppliers.
  • Work with internal and external teams to build strong relationships, ensure quality work, provide clear communication, and meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Travel to project sites and client meetings, anticipating up to 30% domestic travel.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet milestones, deadlines, and are presented in the required client and team formats.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of project design experience with data center designs, or large complex construction projects (hospitals, high-rises, laboratories, manufacturing plants, or high-power plants).
  • Experience working with internal and external multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working directly with final client teams.
  • Experience in the preparation of project plans and technical specifications.
  • Experience in the development of project implementation plans and schedules.
  • Experience coordinating internal and external teams.
  • Experience with projects utilizing fundamental knowledge of Autodesk Platforms: Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or Building Information Modelling (BIM) engineered solutions.
  • Strong communication skills – oral and written.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with evolving priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
