About the Role
The École de Musique de Berlin is seeking a freelance piano teacher for their Berlin-Waidmannslust location, starting with the 2026/2027 school year. This position offers the opportunity to teach children, adolescents, and potentially adults, with the possibility of expanding the scope of work.
Responsibilities
- Teach piano to children, adolescents, and possibly adults in individual lessons.
- Conduct lessons at the Berlin-Waidmannslust / Reinickendorf location.
- Independently design and deliver lessons with a pedagogical approach.
- Communicate with students and/or parents regarding lesson organization.
- Optionally participate in recitals, concerts, or school projects.
Requirements
- Plays piano at a high level and enjoys teaching.
- Has prior teaching experience with children and adolescents.
- Works reliably, communicatively, and with pedagogical sensitivity.
- Works independently and responsibly as a freelancer.
- Has very good German language skills.
- Ideally speaks French or has an interest in a German-French environment.
- A completed or ongoing music degree is welcome but not strictly required; pedagogical quality, reliability, and enjoyment of working with students are decisive.
