About the Role

The Village of Glendale Crossing has an exciting opportunity for a Cook to join their team, creating exceptional mealtime experiences for residents and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Create exceptional mealtime experiences for residents and their families through the provision of delicious and well-balanced meals.
  • Foster exemplary relationships with residents and their families while focusing on flexible dining and customer service.
  • Be able to lift up to 35lbs.
  • Follow meal plans in accordance with Physicians orders and nutritional guidelines.
  • Lead other team members in pursuit of a resident-centered dining experience.
  • Support and embrace our resident-centered social culture.
  • Deliver the highest quality of service to residents, visitors, and team members through comprehensive and effective support.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets
  • Produced food in large quantities, preferably in a hospital or long-term care setting
  • Have proven leadership abilities
  • Contribute toward a resident-centered care approach ensuring respect and dignity to all residents.
  • Worked as a co-operative team member
