About the Role
The Director of Marketing will lead the marketing department, establishing processes, managing resources, overseeing channels, and ensuring consistent brand representation. This role requires strategic leadership and hands-on execution in a fast-paced B2B environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an annual marketing strategy aligned with company objectives, revenue goals, and growth initiatives.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive marketing roadmap supporting sales, business development, and brand awareness.
- Establish department goals, priorities, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and market opportunities.
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing marketing team.
- Establish workflows, project management standards, and accountability measures.
- Manage department priorities and resource allocation.
- Foster a collaborative culture focused on service, innovation, and results.
- Partner with sales leadership to support business development efforts.
- Develop presentations, proposals, collateral materials, case studies, and customer-facing content.
- Support RFP and bid response efforts.
- Implement lead nurturing and customer engagement initiatives.
- Lead visual design and branding across all marketing and proposal materials.
- Ensure consistency in tone, messaging, and brand standards.
- Incorporate creative elements to elevate content.
- Ensure consistency of brand messaging, visual identity, and market positioning.
- Oversee development and maintenance of brand standards and marketing assets.
- Protect and strengthen the McCoy Rockford brand.
- Oversee company website strategy, content management, and optimization.
- Manage social media strategy and execution, with an emphasis on LinkedIn and B2B engagement.
- Direct email marketing campaigns and digital advertising initiatives.
- Ensure effective content creation and distribution.
- Develop and enhance showroom experiences.
- Oversee marketing support for events, client programs, tours, and community initiatives.
- Manage event planning, promotion, execution, and post-event analysis.
- Lead co-marketing initiatives with Steelcase and other manufacturer partners.
- Manage agency, contractor, freelancer, and vendor relationships.
- Oversee the phased transition of marketing activities from external contractors to internal resources.
- Ensure effective utilization of co-marketing opportunities and partner resources.
- Establish marketing KPIs and reporting processes.
- Track campaign performance, lead generation, customer engagement, and revenue impact.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools for actionable insights.
- Make data-driven recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness and ROI.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets.
- Monitor spending and ensure effective allocation of resources.
- Evaluate marketing investments and vendor relationships to maximize value and ROI.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive marketing experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a B2B marketing environment.
- Experience supporting long sales cycles, proposals, and RFP processes.
- Experience in commercial interiors, furniture, architecture, construction, design, or related industries preferred.
- Strong technical writing and proposal development experience required.
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to travel between company locations and customer sites as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry marketing materials and event supplies up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Professional office and showroom environment.
- Occasional evening and weekend events may be required.
