About the Role

The Business Analyst will facilitate the deployment of Motorola Solutions' Control Room Solution (Guardian Suite) to strategic customers, primarily within the UK and Europe's emergency services. This role is crucial for enhancing the safety and efficiency of emergency response agencies by shaping how they interact with our solutions and helping them save lives.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the deployment of the Guardian Suite to strategic customers.
  • Engage directly with end-users and stakeholders to identify workflow integration points for Guardian.
  • Develop and maintain documentation relating to business benefits realization.
  • Act as the operational process subject matter expert for customers.
  • Complete requirement gap analysis during pre-contract or contract change processes.
  • Deliver RAG status for functional requirements for integration or software development.
  • Serve as the deployment team's principal contact for the Engineering and Product team, tracking software development progress.
  • Capture and document customer requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Capture and document supplier requirements, identifying gaps and managing development roadmaps.
  • Complete training needs analysis and ensure customer clarity on offered training.
  • Deliver train-the-trainer courses and support customer end-user training.
  • Support test events and defect management processes.
  • Provide on-site support for major events like Go Live, software upgrades, and system outages.
  • Produce or update user stories and acceptance criteria for the Product/Engineering team and suppliers.
  • Support the service management team and manage software defects, creating incidents or problems in live service.
  • Assist in the production of pre-sales solution and deployment proposals.
  • Develop and maintain an outstanding understanding of the product and its operational processes.
  • Build long-term positive relationships with team members, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Translate technical information into operational-level communication.
  • Work effectively between customer and product development teams to ensure released software meets user requirements.
  • Demonstrate awareness of the commercial implications of deliveries and operational issues.
  • Show leadership in the continuous development cycle for new features and functionality.

Requirements

  • Strong experience of call taker and dispatch operations in the emergency services.
  • Experience of managing the delivery of large and complex software solutions to major customers.
  • Experience of software deployment to UK bluelight (police and/or fire - particularly the Control Room space) agencies.
  • Proven experience in managing requirements.
  • Proven experience of working with virtual teams and self-motivation when working remotely.
  • Demonstrable management experience in a delivery-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Technical experience sufficient to convey issues relating to software deployments.
  • Must have the ability to obtain NPPV3 security clearance.
  • Must be a UK resident for a minimum of 5 years to obtain security clearance.
  • A formal qualification (Degree) in Computer Science or equivalent technology (Desirable).
  • At least 2 years industry experience in Business Analysis at a large technology organisation (Desirable).
  • Knowledge of project management principles - with certification or working towards certification (Desirable).
