About the Role

The Client Development & Engagement (CDE) Coordinator – West Coast supports client development initiatives and marketing efforts across Southern California and the Bay Area, focusing on planning and executing West Coast events and client engagement programs. This role collaborates with various internal teams to ensure high-quality support for client development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support planning, tracking and execution of West Coast events, including marquee events, dinners, conferences, sporting events and alumni programs.
  • Source and evaluate venues for events, including conducting site visits and managing contract coordination.
  • Coordinate event logistics such as invitation lists, RSVP tracking, materials, vendor communication, and on-site support.
  • Assist with tracking event budgets, vendor relationships, and event metrics.
  • Coordinate swag for California offices, including inventory management and package preparation.
  • Coordinate client pitches, proposals, presentations, and RFP responses.
  • Maintain and update CRM data, client lists, and experience records for targeted outreach.
  • Conduct market, industry, and client research to support partner meetings, pitches, and client targeting.
  • Support research initiatives related to key West Coast sectors like tech, finance, and private equity.
  • Monitor competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
  • Maintain website content and update lawyer biographies across multiple channels.
  • Assist with the preparation of directory and awards submissions.
  • Research and coordinate conferences and sponsorship opportunities to raise the Firm’s profile.
  • Coordinate with the Communications team on campaigns, external communications, press releases, and social media activity.

Requirements

  • 2 years of relevant business experience.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and highly organized with the ability to anticipate needs and follow through on assignments.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly competitive and demanding environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and self-motivated to produce accurate, timely, and complete work product.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects across offices.
  • Ability to begin to leverage institutional knowledge in own work.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Must be flexible and willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Experience Level

  • Major in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Public relations, or related field preferred

Salary/Compensations

  • CA Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 at the time of posting.
