About the Role

Provide individual and/or family therapy, clinical case management, mental health consultations, and crisis support to youth in the SEEDS of Change program as part of an interdisciplinary team. This role focuses on disrupting the school-to-prison pipeline by empowering middle school students and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and/or family therapy and clinical case management to young people ages 12-24.
• Conduct assessments with youth, including CANS and TESI, to ensure linkage to supportive services.
• Utilize PCOMS to obtain youth feedback at the beginning and end of each session.
• Employ healing-centered, trauma-informed practices, restorative justice, harm reduction, holistic, and youth development practices.
• Reduce barriers to accessing mental health services through flexible approaches and locations.
• Provide consultation and support to SEEDS staff, including during crises.
• Attend and participate in all program-specific and agency-required meetings, events, and field trips.
• Maintain a fluid caseload and ensure timely electronic documentation of contacts in EPIC and Salesforce.
• Participate in recruitment efforts to support family/student engagement.
• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, evaluate clinical risks, develop diagnostic formulations, treatment plans, and apply effective interventions.
• Develop rapport, engagement, and retention of youth, considering sociocultural factors.
• Demonstrate knowledge of legal and ethical issues and maintain appropriate boundaries.
• Actively engage in supervision and pursue training opportunities to advance clinical skills.
• Co-facilitate behavioral health groups and presentations.
• Manage clear and timely communication with system and community partners.
• Participate in personal and professional development trainings.
• Support administrative responsibilities as needed.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• A master's degree in social work or counseling.
• A clinical license or registered with BBS in pursuit of license.
• At least 2 years of experience providing individual therapy and/or youth development services to youth ages 12-18 and/or Transitional Age Youth & Adults (TAYA).
• Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, oral, and written communication skills.
• TB clearance.
• Valid CA driver's license, clear DMV record, and reliable transportation.
• Two years driving experience.
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
• Must pass the DOJ/FBI background check.

• $76,000.00 - $80,160.00 Salary/year
• $76,000 + $3,640 Bilingual Premium (Spanish, Cantonese or Mandarin)
