About the Role

coni + partner is seeking a Tax Lawyer specializing in UCITS Funds for their client, the asset management division of an international Swiss bank in Zurich. This role involves supporting investment professionals, managing tax projects, and advising on tax efficiency for various investment types.

Responsibilities

• Support investment professionals and manage tax projects (FACTA/CRS) from legal, regulatory, operational, and project management perspectives for all investment classes.
• Advise specialists and managers on product development concerning tax issues and terms and conditions.
• Support tax work for investment funds and investors in private market funds.
• Advise on tax efficiency in financial transactions and investments.
• Monitor cross-border tax matters involving international fund competence centers.
• Review fund documentation for various fund structures.
• Coordinate tax projects with external tax consultants and manage tax performance.
• Conduct training in investment, law, and compliance tax matters.
• Monitor and research legal and regulatory requirements and cooperate with authorities.
• Participate in ongoing situational projects.

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Taxation or Law.
• Professional experience as a tax lawyer with large investment funds, BigFour firms, banks, international law firms, or as a tax consultant.
• Knowledge of investment funds and transaction regulations (UCITS, UCITSD, AIFMD, MiFID, FATCA, CRS).
• Knowledge of traditional and alternative investments, including private equity, private real estate, private debt, and private infrastructure funds.
• Knowledge of local and cross-border fund jurisdictions.
• Ability to manage tax issues successfully.
• Analytical and communicative personality.
• High attention to detail in tax work.
• Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience meeting ambitious deadlines.
• Team player.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Proficient in English and German.
