About the Role

As a Senior Cost Manager at Linesight, you will work with highly experienced, culturally diverse, and passionate teams, gaining vast industry experience that will open doors for you, extend your skillset, and expand your perspective. You will be mentored and supported by industry leaders and given the tools to grow, contributing to business strategy as the company evolves.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the tender/bid process from initial documentation through analysis and reporting.
• Manage the change management process, including identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing changes affecting project cost.
• Analyze tenders/bids to ensure client value for money.
• Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including handling claims to ensure the client receives best value from works undertaken.
• Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments.
• Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicate variations to your team.
• Support nimble project management and clear decisions through excellent cost documentation and timely communication.
• Support the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency.
• Foster top performance and growth for employees via excellent mentorship and leadership.

Requirements

• Experience as a senior cost manager, ideally from a consultancy background.
• Experience in pre-contract cost management, budget control, cost planning, and preparing/initiating change forms for discussion with stakeholders.
• Knowledgeable on alternative construction materials.
• An excellent communicator verbally and in writing.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with the opportunity to manage own priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to build strong relationships with team and clients through shared purpose, openness, and fun.

• Degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline.
• Chartered or on the path to completing it.
