About the Role

This role is responsible for project planning and managing scheme transitions from contract negotiations through to the end of data cleanse. It involves collating and validating accurate data, agreeing processes and timescales with trustees and internal stakeholders, and ensuring client commitments are met. The role requires excellent stakeholder management and the ability to manage multiple transactions concurrently, providing direction and support to the Transition Consultant and Transition Support roles.

Responsibilities

  • Project manage all transactions from exclusive appointment, ensuring timely completion of all tasks in line with client and business expectations.
  • Hold clients accountable to deliver data and other items on time.
  • Obtain, validate, and check data received during the data cleanse period for a smooth handover to the Implementation team.
  • Communicate progress, issues, and next steps to key stakeholders, such as trustees and administrators.
  • Support the Senior Business Development Manager with client management, including discussing de-risking journey support and attending Trustee board meetings.
  • Handle trustee queries during the transition process with the DB Operations team until schemes are handed over to BAU.
  • Support Implementation Managers with operational tasks such as payroll funding, member calculations, and reinsurance reporting.

Requirements

  • Experienced within the DB Pensions or the DB De-risking Market.
  • Knowledge of buy-ins and buy outs or general de-risking.
  • Experience of relationship management and/or project management.
  • Able to 'Project Manage' transactions through to conclusion by effectively partnering with Scheme Trustees and EBCs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to analyze and check data efficiently.
  • Ability to explain issues to clients in a clear and appropriate manner.
  • A strong negotiator with good influencing skills.
  • Ability to handle conflicting priorities with internal and external stakeholders.
