About the Role

Responsibilities
- Build a world-class customer experience, developing mobile and web experiences in React Native and Expo across iOS, Android, and web.
- Integrate AI into daily work, sharing patterns that help the team move faster and learning from others.
- Lead AI integration into the product, setting direction on where AI creates customer value, prototyping bets, and bringing the team along.
- Own delivery end-to-end, including problem definition, solution design, shipping mobile work, writing backend code when necessary, and seeing features through to production.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and support shipped production code.
- Maintain app performance and trust by profiling performance, hardening release processes, and protecting production health.
- Set the technical direction, owning architecture, patterns, and standards for the mobile stack.
- Mentor and uplift team members.
Requirements
- Right to work in the UK and based in London.
- 10+ years of experience building production software across mobile, backend, frontend, or full-stack.
- Strong experience with React Native and Expo, with a track record in B2C apps on iOS and Android.
- Proficiency in TypeScript.
- Daily use of AI assistants in development workflows, with the ability to share effective patterns.
- Product-focused mindset, measuring work by customer impact.
- Solid understanding of mobile performance, app stability, release processes, and mobile security.
- Attention to detail and care for product craft and user experience.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and driving progress without explicit direction.
- Experience with building automated tests.
- Strong execution skills, characterized by curiosity, energy, and a proactive approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for knowledge sharing.
- Ability to act as a force multiplier, influencing other engineers through patterns, reviews, and mentorship.
