About the Role

We are a Berlin-based energy tech startup building a full-stack platform to help energy providers deliver dynamic electricity plans and cost-saving energy services. We are seeking a Product Engineer to drive customer discovery, end-to-end delivery, and engineering culture, owning mission-critical problems in energy retail.

Responsibilities

• Sit with customers to understand problems and guide engineering decisions.
• Ship end-to-end solutions across the full stack, from discovery to production.
• Leverage AI-native development tools to accelerate output.
• Own zero-to-one problems from conception to live product.
• Prioritize and manage the work queue, deciding on project scope and execution.
• Address core energy retail challenges including billing, procurement, customer retention, and cost optimization.
• Shape engineering culture, tooling, and processes, and contribute to team recruitment.
• Adapt quickly to new tools and methods, and facilitate team adoption.

Requirements

• Demonstrated track record of shipping real product work.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience delivering end-to-end, full-stack products.
• Proven experience owning zero-to-one problems from discovery to production deployment.
• Hands-on experience with AI-native codebases and AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience solving billing, procurement, customer retention, or cost-optimization problems.
• High ownership mindset, strong judgment, and comfort with ambiguity in early-stage environments.
• Experience shaping engineering culture, tooling, and processes in a small or early-stage team (nice to have).
• Contributions to core products in high-engineering-bar environments or successful open-source projects (nice to have).
• Experience operating with extreme ownership in a high-growth, fast-moving environment (nice to have).
