About the Role
Skello is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join their Tech team. This role is central to developing features, including those with new AI functionalities, ensuring a critical AI feature is integrated into a high-performing backend.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex features, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Participate in the development of the Skello Assistant and intelligent features, with AI as a primary focus for upcoming features.
- Apply Software Engineer rigor to innovative topics to ensure determinism and reliability of production responses.
- Collaborate with Staff Engineers and Architects to optimize infrastructure, including costs, latency, and monitoring.
- Contribute to the evolution of the tech stack, from maintaining legacy systems to building Skello's future.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of development experience.
- Experience building complex and resilient systems.
- Proficiency in the JavaScript environment, preferably Node.js and TypeScript.
- Ability to work with Ruby on Rails if needed.
- Understanding of front-end migration challenges (Vue to React).
- Ability to adapt to product needs.
- Pragmatism to balance technological innovation with production imperatives (scalability, output quality, costs).
