About the Role
As a Junior Software Engineer on the Ingestion and Aggregation teams, you will contribute to a content metadata platform. You will help build the pipeline that pulls content from partner sources, processes it through a multi-step workflow, and aggregates it into unified metadata for downstream products. This role involves working on real, customer-facing services alongside experienced engineers.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain REST APIs and background workers.
- Write unit tests for shipped code.
- Debug and improve data pipelines.
- Learn how large systems are deployed and monitored in the cloud.
- Grow skills through code review, pairing, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area.
- 3 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Skills
- C# 12 and .NET 8 (ASP.NET Core Web APIs and background workers)
- Layered service architecture and SDK clients
- Data access with Microsoft SQL Server, Aurora PostgreSQL, and Mongo
- Messaging and orchestration with MassTransit, RabbitMQ
- REST tooling: Swagger/OpenAPI, RestSharp
- Testing with xUnit, Moq
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards
- Assistive technologies
- Digital accessibility integration
