About the Role
This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to achieve cost savings, business growth, and sustainability objectives. Responsibilities include developing effective negotiation strategies, delivering measurable business results, and managing annual spend portfolios of $50M-$200M in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead complex sourcing strategies, managing suppliers and internal networks to deliver best-in-class performance.
- Consistently deliver measurable and strategic goals to enable bottom-line and top-line company growth, and corporate social responsibility leadership.
- Develop effective negotiation strategies.
- Leverage business and professional relationships with strategic suppliers and industry players.
- Manage and measure suppliers for continuous performance and improvement.
- Employ program and project management tools and techniques.
- Solve problems and make decisions for execution and tactical issues within the relevant portfolio of projects and processes.
- Provide day-to-day oversight and perform a hands-on execution role.
- Motivate and collaborate within their team and across their peer group.
- Lead using demonstrated experience and best practice procurement skills.
- Lead cross-functional teams.
- Work within peer group and leadership infrastructure to ensure best practice and leverage opportunities are delivered.
- Collaborate with Group procurement manager and/or director of procurement.
Requirements
- Understanding of sourcing, supplier management, risk management, RFX processes, market analysis, cost modeling, and contract fundamentals.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and drive effective solutions in dynamic business environments.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders across teams and management levels, while fostering collaboration and driving strategic outcomes.
- Skilled at managing multiple priorities, using project management tools and techniques, and delivering results under pressure.
- Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to change, and tailor approaches to different stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and align cross-functional teams.
- Naturally curious and committed to expanding knowledge through benchmarking, industry trends, and ongoing professional development.
