About the Role

The Associate Director is a key frontline fundraiser responsible for engaging alumni and friends to inspire philanthropic investments that support the College's mission and strategic priorities. This role is crucial during the final phase of the College's first comprehensive fundraising campaign and in preparation for its 150th anniversary.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of 150 alumni donors and prospects.
  • Navigating the full development cycle for five- to seven-figure philanthropic investments.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Philanthropy, Chief Advancement Officer, and Advancement Team to maintain a viable portfolio.
  • Deploying bespoke, informed, and relationship-driven strategies to advance alumni philanthropy.
  • Meeting, travelling, and visiting key alumni donors and prospects.
  • Documenting communications and interactions via Raiser’s Edge NXT database.
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders on key collaborative advancement initiatives.
  • Participating in key meetings with the UC Law SF Foundation Board of Trustees and UC Law SF Alumni Association Advisory Board of Governors.
  • Participating in institutional, advancement team, alumni chapter, and other events for philanthropic engagement.

Requirements

  • Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders, and across campus.
  • Ability to represent UC Law SF at alumni donor and prospective donor meetings.
  • Ability to travel locally and nationally for donor and prospective donor meetings.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
  • Commitment to advance UC Law SF’s mission and priorities.

Experience Level

  • Advanced degrees preferred

Salary/Compensations

  • $100,000 - $130,000
