About the Role
We're looking for a skilled and reliable handyman to join our private property management team. The ideal candidate will work closely with us to provide high-quality handyman, repair, and proactive maintenance services for our member's primary homes. You should be friendly, professional, and comfortable doing basic handyman work.
Responsibilities
- Perform proactive maintenance on major appliances and home systems, including filter replacement and battery checks.
- Conduct home repairs such as mounting artwork, patching drywall, touching up paint, and adjusting fixtures.
- Perform basic electrical and plumbing tasks, including installing light fixtures and thermostats, replacing light switches, troubleshooting outlets, installing faucets, and clearing clogged drains.
- Undertake other property management tasks like picking up packages, collecting mail, hanging holiday lights, and filling car tires with air.
Requirements
- Experience in a handyman, property maintenance, or technician role, ideally in residential homes is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of repair and maintenance techniques with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear, friendly, helpful, and professional interaction with homeowners.
- Possession of own general tools, with the ability to use them safely and effectively.
- Possession of own vehicle for reliable travel around the Austin area.
- Must have a clean background check and driver's license.
