About the Role

Serve as a subject matter expert for the Payments Platform Engineering team, leading the design, implementation, and operational excellence of new software, features, and solutions. Drive architecture discussions, produce well-documented design docs, and participate in design and code reviews to ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and follows best practices. Contribute to the technical engineering roadmap by completing quality and thorough assessments of implementation alternatives and their associated trade offs and providing recommendations. Estimate engineering efforts and implement new and refactored software services on the platform securely, reliably, and at scale. Own the performance and availability of the services and participate in on-call rotations to provide technical support. Participate in project planning, estimation, and tracking to ensure the timely delivery of software components. Optimize system performance and reliability. Develop automated tests and deliver high-quality software code to production within a short development cycle in the continuous integration and delivery environment.

Requirements

• Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
