About the Role

Analyze new product requirements and prepare design, and develop robust, scalable, data-driven software applications and features using object-oriented programming, and advanced object-oriented design and development principles. Create design specifications for PayPal’s rewarding engine software and its algorithm to enhance the efficiency of real-time processing for millions of PayPal’s payments and mapping those to eligible promotions or campaigns. Design and develop highly available and scalable Rewards diagnostic tool using Java & Spring boot frameworks for increased visibility at the level of rewarding platform. Perform high-quality software analytics, design, development, testing, and maintenance for the PayPal core technology platform. Lead product design and code reviews. Develop automated component tests and deliver high-quality software code to production within a short development cycle in a continuous integration and delivery environment. Drive architecture discussions and propose solutions to system and product changes.

Requirements

  • Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
  • Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus eight years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
