About the Role
Acrisure is investing in its data infrastructure with Palantir Foundry as the enterprise analytics and application platform. The Growth & Placement Analytics team supports executive leadership of the North America Insurance business, producing data assets that drive strategic decisions. As an Analytics Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain data pipelines and models, working closely with senior engineers and analysts to translate business questions into reliable data assets. This is a growth-stage role on a high-visibility team where you will influence the data layer's evolution and enable insights for senior executives.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines, focusing on reliability and performance.
- Develop and extend dbt models on Acrisure's data warehouse, emphasizing operational and SSOT data layers.
- Build Palantir Foundry applications, Ontology objects, and workflows to surface actionable data.
- Partner with analysts and business intelligence teammates to understand downstream needs and engineer upstream data assets.
- Uphold data modeling best practices, including documentation, version control via Git, incremental build strategies, and data quality testing.
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate development, applying critical evaluation to AI-generated code.
- Contribute to the pod's data strategy, identify infrastructure gaps, and propose architectural improvements.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a related data infrastructure role.
- Strong SQL skills across a modern cloud data warehouse.
- Hands-on experience with dbt or an equivalent transformation framework.
- Demonstrated ability to build data pipelines from scratch.
- A genuine interest in learning Palantir Foundry.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity within a small, fast-moving team.
- A business-aligned mindset.
- A skeptical approach to AI tools, validating outputs and taking responsibility for shipped code.
- Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.
