About the Role

As a Deposit Operations Representative, you will support the daily operational functions of the bank, ensuring accurate, efficient, and compliant processing of deposit-related activities. This role serves as a key operational resource, provides support to the VP of Operations, and assists with customer transactions as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Process and support daily ACH, EIP, and wire transfer activities.
  • Perform account maintenance and review customer account documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Generate, review, and analyze operational and exception reports.
  • Assist with balancing internal accounts, general ledger accounts, and other operational reconciliations.
  • Prepare and distribute customer notices, correspondence, and required disclosures.
  • Support online banking, bill pay, and cash management services for consumer and commercial customers.
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies, transaction exceptions, and customer inquiries.
  • Assist with transaction disputes, account investigations, and operational problem resolution.
  • Open and maintain consumer and commercial deposit accounts in accordance with bank policies and procedures.
  • Assist with bank audits, examinations, compliance requests, and internal reviews.
  • Gather and provide documentation for formal complaints, subpoenas, and other legal or regulatory requests.
  • Work directly with Jack Henry support and other third-party vendors to troubleshoot operations issues and system concerns.
  • Perform interest adjustments, account corrections, and other maintenance activities as needed.
  • Support the VP of Operations with operational projects, reporting, process improvements, and other assigned initiatives.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide backup teller coverage and assist customers with deposits, withdrawals, payments, account inquiries, and other routine banking transactions as needed.
  • Cross-train and collaborate with other departments to support overall branch and operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Direct experience using Jack Henry core banking system (required).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Knowledge of banking operations, deposit accounts, and transaction processing.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and banking software systems.
  • Previous banking operations, deposit operations, or branch operations experience.
  • Experience processing ACH transactions and wire transfers.
  • Experience with account maintenance, reconciliations, and balancing general ledger accounts.
  • Working knowledge of consumer and commercial deposit accounts.
  • Online banking, cash management, or treasure management support experience.
  • Experience supporting audits, examinations, or compliance reviews.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and operational controls.
  • New account opening experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
