About the Role
PRS is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced developer to join the Distribution Services Delivery Domain. This role involves working with Oracle cloud-based applications that support the royalty distribution value stream, ensuring accurate payments to members. You will be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary squad, delivering change and supporting applications built on Enterprise Edition Oracle Databases, Oracle Fusion Middleware, and PL/SQL.
Responsibilities
- Develop an understanding of business processes, objectives, solution requirements, application processes, and performance needs.
- Participate in project, enhancement, and BAU initiatives, working with subject matter experts to understand specific requirements.
- Work within an Agile Scrum sprint team and collaborate closely with Technical Leads, Senior Engineers, QA, and Business Systems Analysts, contributing to effort estimation activities.
- Focus on product backend development, implementing new features and enhancing existing functionality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support development and testing activities.
- Support production applications by investigating and resolving production issues and inquiries.
- Use development skills to improve the efficiency, scalability, stability, and maintainability of systems and their components.
- Promote and continuously improve technical standards and development best practices.
- Provide occasional support outside of standard business hours when required.
Requirements
- Several years’ experience with high volume Oracle RDBMS Databases and Fusion Middleware
- Expert Oracle PL/SQL developer able to implement complex database programs including packages, procedures, functions, triggers, cursors, views, materialized views, collections, bulk processing, dynamic SQL, parallel processing.
- Demonstrable software development experience.
- Ability to develop complex PL/SQL data processes for large scale custom applications with robust error handling.
- Experience writing complex & optimal SQL Queries.
- Excellent problem diagnosis and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Oracle RDMS database architecture on the Cloud
- Solid experience designing partitioned and non-partitioned tables, indexes, temporary tables and external tables as well as SQL tuning and optimization of newly developed and existing applications.
- Experience with Oracle 19c Enterprise Edition on Exadata Platform
- Experience with Performance Tuning & Data Warehousing
- Experience with Multi-Terabyte Databases (VLDBs)
