About the Role

The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner. This role involves parking and retrieving guest vehicles safely and promptly, and assisting guests with luggage.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients.
  • Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor.
  • Uses guest last names during interactions.
  • Uses the salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location.
  • Practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette.
  • Posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks.
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously.
  • Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed.
  • Opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
  • Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries.
  • Provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms, facility amenities, and local attractions.
  • Delivers messages, items, and/or guest amenities as requested.
  • Shuttles guests to appropriate places as approved by the location.
  • Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival.
  • Issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys.
  • Completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt for all vehicles taken into the valet system.
  • Consistently completes the location on all key tags after parking a vehicle.
  • Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or within a commutable distance from the state you are applying to work (as applicable).
  • One (1) month related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Ability to read and write standard English language.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s; ability to perform these operations using units of American money.
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems.
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform parallel parking.
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to run; walk; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
