About the Role

ARA Diagnostic Imaging, a practice of Radiology Partners, is seeking to transform radiology by investing in its people and delivering exceptional outpatient imaging in the Greater Austin, TX area. Responsibilities

  • Performs daily check of supplies and equipment.
  • Monitors and maintains adequate levels of equipment and supplies, reordering as necessary.
  • Assesses patients to obtain medical history, medications, and allergies.
  • Completes screening forms to determine contraindications for procedures.
  • Performs quality assurance of patient schedules throughout the shift.
  • Prepares for patient care, including interventions, lab results, preps for sedation, and verifies orders and implant screening with referring physicians.
  • Performs insertion and removal of IV catheters on patients per policy.
  • Assists with injection of contrast material.
  • Monitors patients post-exam and acts accordingly to ensure safety.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a recognized, approved Paramedic program.
  • Current Texas State License.
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS & PALS or willingness to obtain these certifications.
  • One year of paramedic experience in EMS service and/or emergency room.
  • Two years preferred intensive care or radiology experience.
