About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Management Company Director to oversee and manage all accounting and financial reporting activities for our Management Company entities. This role requires strong attention to detail, exceptional analytical skills, client servicing experience, and a background in the alternative investment industry.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounting and financial reporting for Management Company entities, including financial statements, management accounts, and regulatory reporting.
- Oversee fiscal operations such as the chart of accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and expense allocations.
- Lead the monthly close cycle, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and collaborate with client finance teams.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders.
- Reconcile cash flows and prepare ad-hoc reports.
- Support new client onboarding.
- Contribute to developing financial controls and streamlining processes.
- Work cross-functionally to deliver accurate and timely reporting.
Requirements
- Manage and develop accounting teams across multiple entities and locations with proven leadership skills.
- Bring ten plus years of experience in accounting and financial reporting within the alternative investment industry.
- Possess strong knowledge of US GAAP.
- Demonstrate excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders while meeting tight deadlines with precision.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experienced with QuickBooks.
- Familiar with ERP systems like Sage or NetSuite.
- Continuously strengthen accounting expertise.
