About the Role
We are actively recruiting for an existing vacancy a highly organized Material Handler to join us at SLEEGERS. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth and development of SLEEGERS by moving materials to support production needs.
Responsibilities
- Loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or equipment
- Using a forklift and other industrial equipment, as needed
- Putting received materials in their proper storage location
- Reading and interpreting engineering assembly drawings to identify and differentiate fabricated components and machined parts
- Supplying production work cells with required parts and materials, as specified by the job file
- Inventory management (kitting components for jobs)
- Working collaboratively with Engineering and Supply Chain to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
Requirements
- Has at least two years of material handling experience, preferably in a production environment
- Steel and metallurgist, and heat code experience an asset
- Experience in material test reports and traceability
- Is computer literate
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Has excellent time management skills and can effectively prioritize and work under tight deadlines
- Understands the importance of our high degree of product quality and compliance to health and safety standards
