About the Role
Oversee programs and employees within the Wellness Department, providing support and guidance to ensure quality delivery of services.
Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive assessments of Wellness participants and their families to identify needed supports.
- Oversee Wellness participants/families, tracking needs, outcomes, developments, and barriers to resources.
- Ensure the participant database is kept up to date.
- Foster a coaching culture by providing regular feedback to Wellness employees.
- Manage departmental administrative tasks, including tracking absences and approving time off.
- Submit quarterly/annual service and funding reports by deadline.
- Collaborate to manage caseload assignments and hold a small caseload.
- Handle open caseloads as needed.
- Arrange or provide coverage for emergent participant needs and acute situations.
- Provide coverage for client needs when Wellness employees are unavailable.
- Track Purchase of Service (POS) and Individual Service Plans (ISPs), reminding staff of expirations, reviewing for accuracy, and ensuring timely submission.
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training new Wellness employees.
- Manage staff performance issues.
- Attend and participate in monthly Assessment meetings and weekly Service Manager meetings.
- Co-facilitate monthly Wellness Department meetings, rotating topics and sending out meeting notes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in a human services field required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 3 years’ experience working in a related field (social work, health coaching, special education, case management).
- Minimum of 2 years of management experience preferred.
- Valid California Driver’s license.
- Safe driving record.
- Acceptance as a covered driver by The Arc’s auto insurance agency.
- Ability to exhibit strong communication, judgment, adaptability, problem-solving, professionalism, dependability, strategic thinking, acumen, and leadership skills.
