About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead to support and execute testing within a Large Transformation Program at LCBO. This role requires a strong understanding of retail business cycles, system integrations, and complex testing coordination across multiple applications and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Test Strategy, Master Test Plans, review, and execute detailed test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
  • Support Functional, System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End (E2E), Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Validate business processes across integrated retail systems and applications.
  • Execute testing activities aligned to project timelines and release cycles.
  • Participate in test readiness assessments and defect triage sessions.
  • Log, track, prioritize, and retest defects using Jira or equivalent defect management tools.
  • Work closely with business analysts, developers, vendors, and functional teams to resolve defects.
  • Support root cause analysis and defect trend reporting.
  • Ensure defects are properly documented with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
  • Generate defect reporting and Presentations
  • Validate workflows across retail operational areas such as Order Management, Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, Transportation Management, Product Management.
  • Understand retail warehouse operational cycles, peak periods, and year-end/seasonal testing considerations.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional business and technical teams.
  • Participate in daily testing status meetings and provide execution updates.
  • Support release validation and post-deployment verification activities.
  • Assist in test metrics reporting and testing documentation.

Requirements

  • 10+ Years of experience in software testing within enterprise environments.
  • 5+ Years in leading and managing testing team (testers).
  • 5+ year of Retail Experience (Preferred but not mandatory).
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, business, engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following platforms: SAP, S4/HANA, Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM), Supply Chain, Blue Yonder (BY) product suite (Optional).
  • Strong experience with Test Planning, Test execution, Defect management, Reporting, Jira, Integration testing, End-to-end testing, Regression Testing, UAT.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience working in Agile, Hybrid Agile, or Waterfall delivery environments.
  • Familiarity with test management tools, or release management processes.
  • Exposure to enterprise integrations and middleware platforms.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse operations, Supply chain, TM Planning is a strong asset.
  • Experience supporting large-scale retail transformation programs.
  • Submission of a cover letter and resume outlining relevant QA and testing planning and execution experience, including examples where possible around challenges around testing in large transformations.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in leading business application and/or software testing using ALM and/or Octane as applicable.
  • Strong experience analyzing and understanding functional, technical and non-functional requirements in a variety of application environments and creating functional and technical test cases and scripts.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience leading testing in an agile environment (as applicable).
  • 5 to 8 years of experience leading testing for digital projects such as: native, mobile app development (iOS and Android), eCommerce, API development and integration work (as applicable).
  • Experience with integrating Digital Testing plans with the full CI/CD stack, including DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Chef/Puppet, and cloud hosting environments (as applicable).
