About the Role
Normal Computing is seeking a Content Strategist to craft compelling communications about its groundbreaking products and mission. This role is central to attracting top talent, engaging customers and partners, and disseminating the company's vision. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and research teams, translating complex, frontier work into accessible content. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the narrative of a company defining new computing categories and addressing the AI energy crisis, providing significant learning and growth potential in physics, silicon, and AI.
Responsibilities
- Draft and ship external content, including website copy, thought leadership blog posts, product content, social posts, press materials, video scripts, and careers copy.
- Develop technical narratives for whitepapers, product briefs, proposals, and technical explainers in collaboration with engineers and researchers.
- Own brand and message consistency, ensuring accuracy and alignment with approved company language.
- Support external engagements by partnering with speakers to build talks, prepare materials, and execute on event days.
- Drive editorial work to publication by building workback plans, sequencing reviewers, and managing stakeholders and external partners.
- Elevate internal communications by partnering with leaders on content for all-hands and companywide moments.
- Engage in editorial partnerships, strengthening content originated by others and advising thought leaders on sharing their messages.
- Contribute to content strategy by surfacing opportunities, proposing new formats, and informing editorial planning.
Requirements
- 5+ years in communications, content strategy, technical writing, science journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Exceptional original writing and editing skills, with a portfolio of shipped work.
- Technical acumen and curiosity, with the ability to learn new domains quickly and earn credibility with engineers.
- Track record of driving multi-stakeholder deliverables to publication against hard external deadlines.
- Comfort engaging on design and thinking about communications artifacts holistically.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong judgment with confidential information.
- Low ego and high agency, with a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for team meetings, industry conferences, and customer engagements.
