About the Role
This position designs, develops, tests, and maintains infrastructure as code, CI/CD patterns, configuration management, and containerized product applications, providing technical leadership and hands-on support for internal systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, and debug configuration management patterns and infrastructure as code.
- Create and maintain comprehensive policies and technical documentation of best practices.
- Perform requirements analysis and design models for infrastructure and application flow.
- Conduct design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.
- Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and business requirements.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation.
- Recommend and implement changes to hardware and operating system infrastructure.
- Analyze results, failures, and bugs to tune automation pipelines.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware-related server problems.
- Consult with end users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs.
- Monitor environment health and improve performance.
- Coach and mentor staff on team policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Support and maintain products and add new features.
- Participate in change management processes.
- Support risk management and protect system integrity and data confidentiality.
- Design and implement container orchestration platforms in hybrid cloud environments.
- Ensure container orchestration platforms are maintained and released without downtime.
- Lead infrastructure-as-code projects and build tools for cloud deployments.
- Implement abstractions to simplify cloud provider and internal infrastructure complexities.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure problems across multiple layers of the stack.
Requirements
- Must independently possess eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ineligible for employment Visa sponsorship.
- Minimum of 5 or more years of related experience.
- Demonstrated prior DevOps or software engineering experience.
- Ability to work on multiple projects.
- Ability to facilitate technical design sessions.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in modern application design patterns.
- Solid understanding of iterative software development processes.
- Ability to use Linux administration command line and create/edit scripts.
- Must be able to work different schedules as part of an on-call rotation.
- Background and drug screen required.

- $128,000 - $156,000 (San Francisco, CA)
