About the Role

Join one of Canada's top performing asset managers as a Retail Portfolio Operations Analyst. You will work and learn alongside a dedicated team in a dynamic environment, contributing to a motivated and collaborative group focused on tackling challenges and achieving success. Our offices operate on a hybrid model, blending in-office and remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile client portfolio and fund data, including client cash, holdings, units, fund cash flows, and performance.
  • Collaborate with external custodians, fund administrators, and internal CC&L Business and Investment teams.
  • Respond to ad hoc client portfolio queries from custodians and front office.
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual client reports for High-Net-Worth clients.
  • Provide support to other teams on performance inquiries related to transactional data.
  • Trade pooled funds and monitor High-Net-Worth clients using the Custom Trade Order Management system.
  • Coordinate account transfers between various custodians.
  • Maintain client fee and holdings data to generate invoices and collect fees.
  • Assist with process enhancement projects for CC&L Private Capital Ltd & CC&L Funds Inc.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course is an asset.
  • Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Developed knowledge of investment accounts (RRSP, TFSA, RRIF, etc.).
  • Ability to ensure high-quality output and identify areas for investigation.
  • Proven ability to think logically and problem-solve effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage changes and interruptions, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Desire to learn processes and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborative spirit and effective communication skills.
  • At least two years of related work experience in an investment firm, bank, or trust company is an asset.
