About the Role

The SAP Finance (FI/CO) Delivery Architect Director is a senior transformation leader responsible for end-to-end solution architecture and delivery execution for complex SAP Finance programs. This role combines deep SAP Finance (FTM) functional and technical expertise with strong enterprise and business acumen to design, govern, and deliver scalable, compliant, and high-impact SAP Finance solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as both a Solution Architect and Delivery Leader, ensuring SAP Finance programs successfully transition from solution definition through execution.
  • Align technology delivery with business objectives, financial governance, and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Assess a program’s technical feasibility and implementation risk.
  • Design and implement the overall SAP Finance solution architecture.
  • Define system structures, interfaces, and solution principles that guide software design, configuration, and delivery execution.
  • Apply business insight and deep SAP Finance expertise to address business challenges.
  • Own, shape, and drive the solution while leading successful delivery outcomes and strengthening client partnerships.
  • Understand complexities, risks, and opportunities in enterprise finance transformations.
  • Align solution design to enterprise architecture principles and govern execution.
  • Identify and evaluate technical evolution scenarios for client organizations.
  • Define governance models and support program-level leadership.
  • Act as a thought leader and role model, capable of operating effectively at the highest levels of organizations.
  • Build the offering and drive growth through pre-sales activities.
  • Manage CoEs and global alignment across regions.
  • Produce Go To Market content and participate in global events.
  • Contribute to delivery engagements to stay close to client expectations.
  • Lead pre-sales activities such as RFI/RFP, shaping discussions, client workshops, and presentations.
  • Drive single pipeline, opportunity qualification, and maximize sold CM and win rate.
  • Create or change market perception internally and externally.
  • Manage offer packaging GTM tools with Product Managers.
  • Support delivery teams when necessary.
  • Lead and motivate multi-functional teams in dispersed or complex environments.
  • Participate in sales awareness or enablement activities.
  • Lead end-to-end solutioning and proposal responses for $50M+ TCV pursuits.
  • Include effort estimation, resourcing, commercial models, and value-driven business cases.
  • Mobilize cross-BL teams and resolve pursuit complexity.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Director-level and above stakeholders.
  • Deliver compelling executive presentations and oral submissions.
  • Align stakeholders on vision, scope, roadmap, and outcomes.
  • Lead solution blueprinting, architecture, and program strategy across the full delivery lifecycle.
  • Champion Capgemini delivery methods, tools, and execution excellence.
  • Ensure capabilities align to market demand.
  • Lead and represent the entire proposal, ensuring quality through team mobilization.
  • Understand clients pain points, opportunities, and business context.
  • Own plan and deliver an entire oral presentation across Capgemini lines of business for an opportunity in excess of $50 million.
  • Lead the delivery of a solution business blueprint that satisfies business requirements and enables timely and profitable delivery on projects greater than $50 million.
  • Take a leadership role on a program shaping strategy and roadmap across Capgemini lines of business.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 15+ years of professional experience in SAP and Large Scale Finance (FI/CO) Transformations
  • 5+ full lifecycle implementations, with strong S/4HANA experience.
  • Proven experience delivering S/4HANA greenfield and/or brownfield programs.
  • Demonstrated leadership in complex, multi-workstream programs and cross-functional stakeholder management.
  • Strong workshop facilitation skills (business capability/process, value case, solution tradeoffs).
  • Strong written and verbal executive communication (proposal narrative, exec summaries, oral presentations).
  • Experience in consulting environment preferred (Big 4/large SI preferred).
  • SAP certifications relevant to domain expertise.
  • Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF) and/or methodology credentials where applicable.
