About the Role
As a Mobile Trailer Technician, you will travel to customer locations to perform trailer inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs. This is a hands-on role ideal for technicians who enjoy problem-solving, working independently, and delivering high-quality service in the field. You’ll work on a wide range of trailer systems and equipment while representing one of the most recognized transportation maintenance networks in North America.
Responsibilities
- Respond to mobile service calls and complete on-site trailer repairs
- Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot trailer issues
- Perform preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
- Repair and replace trailer components including brake systems, suspension systems, electrical wiring and lighting, floors, doors, frames, and structural components
- Troubleshoot and repair liftgate issues
- Perform welding and fabrication work as required
- Complete work orders and maintenance documentation
- Manage inventory and parts on service vehicle
- Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
Requirements
- Experience as a Trailer Technician, Trailer Mechanic, Mobile Mechanic, or Fleet Maintenance Technician
- Liftgate repair experience is an asset
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with welding, brake systems, suspension, and electrical repair
- Ability to work independently in a mobile service environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
