About the Role
TYLin's Buildings team seeks a Project Structural Engineer in Rochester, New York, to contribute creativity and technical excellence to global building projects, including new construction, renovation, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural design and analysis for a wide range of buildings projects, involving steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and archaic building systems.
- Assist in the preparation of drawings and specifications.
- Conduct site investigations to document existing conditions.
- Coordinate with staff and clients on projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
- Master’s Degree would be considered an asset.
- P.E. license preferred; S.E. license would be considered an asset.
- 3-6 years of experience in the execution of residential, commercial, or institutional buildings projects as a Structural Engineer is required.
- Experience in historic buildings preservation would be considered an asset.
- Proficiency with computer analysis software (e.g. RISA, SAP, RAM).
- Working knowledge of REVIT.
