About the Role
CACI is seeking a Data Scientist II to support a program focused on combating evolving threats, advancing operational rehearsal, and integrating modeling and simulation (M&S) with AI. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and application of models and simulations for U.S. and allied military and commercial technologies, ensuring Warfighter readiness and future capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Execute the full data lifecycle, including acquiring, processing, and interpreting large, disparate datasets to extract actionable insights for DoD modeling and simulation programs.
- Design and develop data-driven solutions for M&S and AI systems, including creating and refining generative AI analysis workflows and ensuring data integrity for complex simulations.
- Build custom analytical pipelines, models, and tooling to meet advanced and emerging data requirements, particularly with high-volume, real-time data feeds.
- Execute and lead project tasks, manage technical complexity, conduct code reviews, and ensure the quality of analytical output.
- Apply deep domain knowledge to military operations and exercises, with familiarity with DoD M&S environments and toolsets to translate data into meaningful analytical conclusions.
- Support data ecosystem development capable of handling big data, large complex data sets, and manage data storage archives of recorded test events, training activities, and exercises.
- Provide advanced data science and data analytics tools, software, algorithm, and analysis support including application of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and digital engineering to simulation data sets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of Experience or 12 years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
- Experience with big data platforms and technologies.
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and deep learning architectures.
- Expertise in data visualization and analytics tools.
- Experience with natural language processing and generative AI workflows.
- Active TS/SCI Clearance.
