Responsibilities

  • Work directly within the codebase, shipping code changes.
  • Monitor Kubernetes clusters, tweak autoscaling, and/or CNAPP deployment.
  • Drive remediation of cloud/infra vulnerabilities against SLA.
  • Produce audit evidence to maintain current authorizations.
  • Collaborate with team, development, and production engineering groups to understand business challenges, identify impactful opportunities, and craft team roadmaps.
  • Design and implement technical solutions to improve Clio’s logging and security posture.
  • Provide feedback on code reviews and architecture documents to support team members' technical decisions.
  • Actively participate as a contributor through code reviews or shipping code.
  • Conduct 1:1 meetings with direct reports to support career growth and development goals.
  • Actively participate in hiring to grow the engineering team.

Requirements

  • Skilled in securing cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP/GSuite, GitHub, and IdP, including experience with AWS and/or GCP.
  • Experience owning a security-compliance program (FedRAMP / StateRAMP / GovRAMP / SOC 2) – audit evidence, continuous monitoring, etc.
  • Adept with Terraform + GitOps (Flux/Argo) + Kustomize; KEDA-based autoscaling.
  • Demonstrated success in people leadership in software development, particularly with large scale SaaS products, and a strong background in cloud computing and cloud security.
  • Diverse base of knowledge to help the team solve complex technical problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, coach, develop, and retain engineering talent.
  • Strong opinions that are weakly held, and foster that same attitude in others.
  • Belief in providing honest, actionable feedback and encouraging team reciprocation.
  • Ability to devise roadmaps and adapt to a constantly changing world.
