About the Role
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning, development, and fundraising within a leading reproductive freedom advocacy organization. Interns will support key fundraising events, learn essential skills in donor relations and database management, and contribute to a vital cause.
Responsibilities
- Support the Development Events Team in planning and executing fundraising events, including a signature event and a cocktail reception.
- Staff in-person events, such as donor salons.
- Assist with administrative tasks.
- Help the event coordinator track event attendees.
- Support research projects for donor stewardship.
- Lead outreach for event volunteers and oversee them on event day.
- Create slideshow graphics for events.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail.
- Enjoyment of research and writing.
- Some graphic design experience.
- Interest in learning about event planning, development, and/or fundraising.
- Passion for reproductive freedom.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to learn a CRM or database.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Alignment with organizational values.
- Demonstrated commitment to a diverse and supportive workplace environment.
- Must not work from a country outside of the United States.
