About the Role

The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work involves verifying materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and damages, routing materials, storing, stacking, or palletizing materials, rearranging and taking inventory, examining stored materials, and removing materials for shipment. This role may operate hand or power trucks.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of TAB's storage plan.
  • Verifies materials and/or merchandise against receiving documents, noting, and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
  • Counts incoming stock for verification and after classification of the product.
  • Folds and/or packages product according to specifications.
  • May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
  • Verifies correctness by comparing items and quantities against placard and SCALE; checking for damaged goods; ensuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to warehouse locations; preparing and keeping records of goods received.
  • Counts quantities of materials, parts, or products received.
  • Confirms stock in the correct location with the proper condition code, and with the correct quantity.
  • Performs cycle counts weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Counts all inventory to know the exact quantity in the entire warehouse (usually performed annually).
  • Notes and reports discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensures production orders are pulled correctly, properly documented, and placed in the designated location for pick up.
  • Inspects product load for accuracy and safely moves it around the warehouse.
  • Maintains and operates all TAB equipment and property in accordance with accepted TAB practices.
  • Transfers product from different locations in the warehouse.
  • Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Mechanically loads or unloads materials using an electric pallet jack.
  • May operate hand or power trucks.
  • Preserves a safe and clean work environment.
  • Complies with and assists other employees understand and comply with TAB's Safety and Security policies and guidelines.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Ability to operate and read a RF gun and computer.
  • Electric and nonelectric pallet jack skills.
  • Possesses basic math skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • The ability to navigate safely in small or large areas/environment.
  • The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to read, comprehend and understand information and ideas presented in writing or in alternative form.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Demonstrates sound work ethics.
  • Possesses cultural awareness and sensitivity.

  • Background Check and Drug Screen required.
