About the Role
Woolpert is hiring a Transportation Engineering Sales Director to lead sales and growth within the Texas transportation practice, focusing on roadway design, bridge programs, traffic engineering, and transportation planning. This market-shaping role requires extensive transportation-related sales experience and the ability to lead the expansion of Woolpert's Transportation presence across Texas.
Responsibilities
- Create and sustain a pipeline of opportunities with a diverse set of clients, expanding beyond TxDOT into cities and counties.
- Build and enhance existing client relationships to identify and initiate additional project opportunities.
- Shape strategic pursuits and teaming efforts.
- Identify and build new client relationships aligned with business strategy.
- Drive sustained revenue in Texas Transportation.
- Promote Woolpert as an industry leader for specified markets and services.
- Assist project managers in negotiating project schedule, fee, scope, and contract terms.
- Mentor Project Managers' sales aptitude through mentoring, client introductions, and interview coaching.
- Leverage national delivery capabilities to support projects.
Requirements
- Must have a BA/BS and 15 years related experience, or MA/MS and 10 years related experience.
- Deep relationships within TxDOT and/or local agencies.
- Current professional registration, if applicable.
- Directly responsible for selling approximately $10,000,000 on an annual basis.
- A reputation for winning and delivering.
- The ability to think beyond the next pursuit.
- A desire to build, lead, and leave a mark.
- Must be able to travel to meet the needs and demands of the practice area.
- Must demonstrate an enterprising, innovative, proactive management approach.
- Must possess high levels of demonstrated leadership ability.
- Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.
