About the Role
As a Vehicle Safety Operator, you will run on-road experiments, provide real-world feedback to research and development teams, and play a vital role in the advancement of road safety and automated driving systems.
Responsibilities
- Test vehicles across the UK as part of a diverse operations team.
- Monitor artificial intelligence and respond to hazards to ensure safe testing.
- Evaluate artificial intelligence during tests and provide expert feedback to research teams and engineers.
- Provide real-world driving examples to train artificial intelligence.
- Support safety and engineering teams by maintaining safety standards and reporting issues.
Requirements
- Full clean UK manual driving licence.
- At least 8 years of driving experience, primarily in the UK.
- No blameworthy insurance claims in the past three years.
- Strong communication skills and empathy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Adaptable, flexible, and passionate about innovative problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or Google Suite.
- Basic navigation skills for device interfaces.
- Familiarity with common touchscreen gestures.
- Proficiency in typing and text editing on screen.
- Ability to connect to Wi-Fi and manage device settings.
- Proficiency in using basic apps (e.g., web browser, email, photos, calendar).
- Ability to troubleshoot basic device issues.
- Must disclose any second job.
- Must pass a health check and disclose any conditions affecting safe operation.
- Must pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
