About the Role

As a Vehicle Safety Operator, you will run on-road experiments, provide real-world feedback to research and development teams, and play a vital role in the advancement of road safety and automated driving systems.

Responsibilities

• Test vehicles across the UK as part of a diverse operations team.
• Monitor artificial intelligence and respond to hazards to ensure safe testing.
• Evaluate artificial intelligence during tests and provide expert feedback to research teams and engineers.
• Provide real-world driving examples to train artificial intelligence.
• Support safety and engineering teams by maintaining safety standards and reporting issues.

Requirements

• Full clean UK manual driving licence.
• At least 8 years of driving experience, primarily in the UK.
• No blameworthy insurance claims in the past three years.
• Strong communication skills and empathy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Adaptable, flexible, and passionate about innovative problem-solving.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite or Google Suite.
• Basic navigation skills for device interfaces.
• Familiarity with common touchscreen gestures.
• Proficiency in typing and text editing on screen.
• Ability to connect to Wi-Fi and manage device settings.
• Proficiency in using basic apps (e.g., web browser, email, photos, calendar).
• Ability to troubleshoot basic device issues.
• Must disclose any second job.
• Must pass a health check and disclose any conditions affecting safe operation.
• Must pass pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
