About the Role
Lead impactful programs, develop high-performing teams, and strengthen communities across residential and neighborhood-based service locations. This role is for a collaborative leader energized by community engagement, resident empowerment, and social impact.
Responsibilities
- Oversee implementation of resident and community service programs aligned with Mercy Housing's program model and HOPE SF priorities.
- Ensure programs meet regulatory, funding, and community requirements.
- Monitor outcomes and continuously improve service quality and impact.
- Supervise Community Life Managers, Specialists, and Housing Success Specialists.
- Coach, mentor, and develop staff through training and professional development.
- Conduct program and quality audits to ensure effective service delivery.
- Support the planning and execution of community-wide events and resident engagement initiatives.
- Facilitate neighborhood meetings and community gatherings using engagement best practices.
- Foster resident leadership, participation, and community cohesion.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, faith-based groups, schools, businesses, and service providers.
- Expand resources and opportunities available to residents and neighborhoods.
- Provide strategic input to enhance programs and services across multiple locations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Five (5) years in community development or social service program development.
- Two (2) years in program and staff management.
- Supervisory experience.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment, respecting and valuing the perspectives and contributions of others, including residents.
- Demonstrate a high level of verbal, writing and listening skills.
- Perform basic computer functions using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Demonstrate knowledge in data collection and analysis.
- Effectively motivate and supervise other staff.
- Develop staff skills in support of resident and community programs and initiatives through training and mentoring.

Salary/Compensations
- $80,000.00 - $93,600.00
